Import/Export (Paperless) License
If your firm is in the import/export industry, or the nature of your business requires you to import/export particular items into/out of Thailand, you need register with the Customs Department for a (paperless) import license/export license. Through this registration, your firm will be added to the Customs Department's online system, allowing the products to pass through Customs immediately under your company's name.

However, Thai legislation restricts the import of some items, which implies that extra import or export permissions may be necessary. For example, the Department of Foreign Trade is in charge of importing unfinished garment pieces, old automobiles and motorbikes, and intaglio printing machines or color copy machines. The Food and Drug Administration, on the other hand, regulates the import of food, medications, chemicals, and pharmaceutical products, while the Ministry of Finance regulates the import of gold.
